Administrative Services department
There are nine employees in this department. Employees in this department handle records management, elections, organizational development, administrative services, human resources, and payroll.
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for
- Ensuring that policy decisions made by the City Council are carried out
- Handling the overall administration of all City operations
- Maintaining official City records (agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, contracts, bids, legal notices, etc.)
- Administering payroll
- Managing benefits and compensation programs
- Recruiting and hiring employees
- Helping train employees and providing on-going opportunities for professional development
- Handling labor negotiations and assisting with grievances, mediation and labor disputes
- Overseeing the development of policies governing employees.
- Registering voters and conducting local, state and national elections
- Licensing liquor and gambling operations
