Summer Seasonal Position: Youth Tennis Instructor
Teach basic tennis skills to children ages 7-12 years old.
- Reports to: Recreation Supervisor
- Salary: $15.00 – $18.00/hr DOQ
- Status: Temporary during June and July of 2008
- Hours: Part Time – Tuesday and Thursday evenings
- Application deadline: Open until filled
Job Duties
- Provide instruction of basic tennis skills to children ranging from approximately 7 to 12 years of age.
- Lead children in a planned weekly instruction.
- Provide supervision and discipline for children to ensure their safety.
- Attend staff meetings as necessary. Attend training and orientation meetings as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have extensive knowledge of the game of tennis
- Experience working with and relating to children ages 7-12
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge or coursework in child development, parks and recreation, sports instruction or education
