West 44th Street Reconstruction

The project is essentially complete; however the City is performing a final inspection of the project. The Contractor will be back on site starting May 17 to finish up miscellaneous warranty items. The work is expected to last thru the end of May. Any questions or specific concerns regarding the project can be directed to George Bender, Project Inspector at (612) 360-1321.
Proposed Project
The reconstruction of 44th Street from Brookside Avenue to France Avenue is being administered by the City of Edina with the support of the City of St. Louis Park. Reconstruction will consist of the removal and replacement of the existing asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, and utility and drainage improvements. Consideration in maintaining the existing roadway widths and preserving existing trees has been made a priority as part of the design.
