2012 MSA Street Rehabilitation

A project information meeting was held for residents and property owners on April 26. Plans were presented to the City Council and approved on May 7. An advertisement for bids, followed by the award of a contract is anticipated to occur by early to mid- June, with construction following shortly thereafter.
Project Description
This project provides for the rehabilitation or reconstruction of Municipal State Aid (MSA) streets in the City during 2012.
Specific streets to be improved are as follows:
- Mill and Overlay - Louisiana Ave. from Minnetonka Blvd. to the Burlington Northern railroad bridge south of Cedar Lake Road

Park Center Blvd Traffic Signal

A traffic signal will be installed on Park Center Boulevard just south of 36th Street at the Target Store and Park Summit entrances. Along with the signal will be driveway alignments of the Target Store east entrance and the entrance into the new Park Summit development, now under construction.

Taft Lift Station

The contractor (Northdale Construction Co.) has completed all of the underground storm sewer work and the restoration work. Final site inspection will occur in the Spring of 2012.
Project Description
This work involved the replacement of storm sewer piping at Lift Station #6 (Taft). The lift station is located at the southwest corner of South Oak Pond.
A partial rehabilitation was completed in 2011 with final rehabilitation and pump replacement scheduled for 2013 to coincide with the planned construction of the Highway 7 & Louisiana Avenue Interchange Project.
