Crime free rental housing

updated: Tuesday, July 27, 2010

This program for apartment owners and managers is designed to reduce the incidents of crime and disorder in rental housing. Phase one offers eight hours of training on tenant screening, lease addendum, evictions, etc. Phase two is a physical survey of the building to make sure it meets minimum security requirements such as deadbolt locks, 180-degree peep holes, interior and exterior lighting, etc. Phase three is a crime prevention meeting to show tenants security precautions they can take to protect themselves and their belongings.  For more information, call (952) 924-2661.
