4900 Excelsior Boulevard

Location: 4760 and 4900 Excelsior Blvd.
Applicant: Oppidan Inc.
Request: Preliminary Plat and Preliminary Planned Unit Development
Description:  An application was submitted to the city to demolish the former Bally Total Fitness building and redevelop that site and the adjacent vacant lot with a new six-story tall mixed-use development containing 28,000 square feet of commercial space (grocery store) and 189 apartments.

The requested Preliminary Plat would combine the two parcels into one lot, dedicate right-of-way to the adjacent streets and provide drainage and utility easements.

A neighborhood meeting regarding the proposal was held Wednesday, April 8.

The Planning Commission held a formal public hearing regarding the application on April 15, 2015.

Bridgewater

Eliot Park Apartments

Plans for the Eliot Park Apartments were approved by the City Council on May 20, 2013. This development will feature two new apartment buildings with a total of 138 apartments and two new single family homes on the north end of the site. The apartment buildings will be three stories in height, and two stories in some areas. Underground parking will be provided for residents, and 20 stalls of surface parking for guest will be located along a private driveway between the two buildings. The City of St. Louis Park issued building permits on September 3, 2014. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

Minnota Addition

Location: 4903 Cedar Lake Road
Applicant: Erdogan Akguc
Request: An application was submitted to the city to plat the property located at 4903 Cedar Lake Road. The plat will consist of one lot and will incorporate approximately 5,000 square feet of the neighboring property to the east. The applicant intends to use the lot to construct a residential building consisting of 14 to 16 townhome units. The townhomes will be 2-3 stories tall and have underground parking. The plat application was heard at the Planning Commission on April 1, 2015.
