updated: Monday, January 30, 2012Sometimes you need police assistance; however, help does not need to arrive within minutes. In these cases, call 952-924-2618. Your call still goes to the Emergency Communications Center, but dispatchers know that your call is not life-threatening.
In non-emergency situations, a squad car may be dispatched as soon as an officer is free or you may be asked to wait until the officer who is familiar with your neighborhood or the particular matter is available.

Even if you hang up quickly, your phone number and address are displayed on the Emergency Communications Center's computer screen.
