What is Absentee Voting?

You may vote by absentee ballot prior to election day for one of the following reasons:

  • Absence from your precinct (away from home)
  • Serving as an election judge in another precinct
  • Religious discipline or religious holiday
  • Absentee Ballot Application

The easiest way to vote by absentee ballot is to do so in person, at city hall starting 45 days prior to Election Day during the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Contact the Elections Office at 952-924-2503 to request an absentee voting application by mail.
