Open hockey is available at The Rec Center's indoor ice arena. The schedule is subject to change; call (952) 924-2567 to confirm dates and times.

Tuesdays, March 4 to May 20, Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Thursdays, March 6 to May 22, Noon to 1:30 p.m.

Adult Ice Skating Lessons
Ages 16 and older
Sessions are designed for the recreational skater, and the participant/instructor ratio is 10:1. At the first class, ability levels will be reviewed, and students may be moved to another level. At the end of the session, participants are tested and awarded patches for achievement. (It is not unusual for a student to remain in the same level for a few sessions before mastering the skills to move to the next level.) Fee includes skate rental.

Tots Ice Skating Lessons
Ages 4 to 6
Sessions are designed for the recreational skater, and the class ratio is one instructor to 10 participants. The Ice Skating Institute sanctions all instructors. At the first class, ability levels are reviewed, and students may be moved to another level. At the last session, participants are tested, and patches are awarded for each level of achievement. (It is not unusual for a student to remain in the same level for a few sessions before mastering the skills to move to the next level.) Fee includes skate rental.

Outdoor skate park -- Rec Center
Our Tier 1 skateboard park features two platforms with four-foot high ramps on each end of the paved skating surface as well as grinding rails and a grinding box. Public restrooms, phones and vending machines are located next to the Skate Park inside The Rec Center.  Any scheduled classes or programs which could limit open skating will be posted at the Skate Park. For information about renting the Skate Park, call (952) 924-2540.

Public Open Indoor Skating
All ages
Visit The Rec Center’s indoor ice arena during open skating sessions. No registration is required. Please note the skating schedule exceptions or call (952) 924-2567 to confirm dates and times

Summer Rink Rat Hockey
Ages 7 - 10 (by start of program)
Play open hockey indoors at The Rec Center and then enjoy a late-afternoon splash. A hockey supervisor will organize the pick-up hockey games. An Aquatic Park pass will be distributed at the end of each hockey session to those who would like to swim. All participants must provide their own hockey equipment and swim gear. A hockey locker room will be available to store equipment while participants swim.
