Legal Notices

updated: Friday, June 05, 2015

Legal notices from the City of St. Louis Park are published in the St. Louis Park Sun-Sailor, a weekly suburban newspaper published by Sun Newspapers. Legal notices are the city's official notification of certain actions such as the sale or disposal of public property, or zoning changes. Not all actions of the Council require a legal notice to be published.

The Sun-Sailor is delivered free of charge to anyone in St. Louis Park who requests delivery. If you have just moved into a new home and are not receiving the paper, please call the circulation office at (952) 392-6860. You may also view portions of the paper at sailor.mnsun.com.

Legal Notices and Ordinances will also be published on this page below:

CenturyLink Seeks Cable Television Franchise in St. Louis Park
CenturyLink has applied for a franchise to offer cable television service in St. Louis Park. CenturyLink currently offers telephone and internet services in St. Louis Park. The City Council will hold a public hearing on July 6 to hear CenturyLink’s proposal and comments from the public.

Minnesota statute requires a franchise to offer cable TV, and that any new franchise be similar to the one that applies the existing cable TV company.

In July and August, city staff and the Telecommunications Advisory Commission will enter into franchise negotiations with CenturyLink based on the franchise that governs Comcast.

If the negotiations are successful, the City Council will consider the proposed franchise in September. CenturyLink is pursuing cable television franchises all over the Twin Cities, and expects to begin service in some areas this summer.
