Characteristics
- Minikahda Oaks is a very small, single family neighborhood originally subdivided in 1926. Home construction continued steadily between 1927 and 1980.
- Minikahda Oaks is located between Bass Lake and Minikahda Country Club. A retail area borders the neighborhood along Excelsior Boulevard.
- Bass Lake Park is located in this neighborhood.

Neighborhood Association
The Minikahda Oaks Neighborhood Association was incorporated in 1948 and is one of the oldest continuously operating neighborhood associations in Minnesota. The association represents neighborhood interests to city and county government, works to improve and beautify the public roads, grounds, and water fronts located in and adjacent to the neighborhood, and promotes a sense of community in the neighborhood.
