Applications are now available for the 2012 St. Louis Park Arts & Culture Grant Program. The program highlights St. Louis Park’s commitment to promoting and integrating arts, culture, and community aesthetics in all city initiatives. Because St. Louis Park residents feel so strongly about the value of arts and culture, the City of St. Louis Park, St. Louis Park Community Foundation and St. Louis Park Friends of the Arts have teamed together to once again offer the grant program to fund related activities in the city.

 

Work could include murals, sculpture, permanent art installations, dance, literature, multi-media presentations, drama, film, music, or any other art form. Grant-winning art projects or cultural events must be arts-related and community-based, provide artistic enrichment, and create opportunities for artistic collaboration in St. Louis Park.

 

Aligned with Vision St. Louis Park, the grant program was established by the city, Friends of the Arts and the St. Louis Park Community Foundation to support community pride, encourage creative learning, build bridges between artists and city residents, and promote artistic production and cultural experiences.

 

Applications are due by noon on June 17th, so don’t delay! Projects should start on January 1, 2012, or later, and be completed by Dec. 31, 2012 (unless an extension is granted). Minimum grant request is $500.
