The St. Louis Park Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Drive, features an outdoor aquatic park, two indoor ice arena—used by both St. Louis Park and Benlide-St. Margaret’s boys and girls High School hockey teams—and meeting and banquet facilities.

Banquet Room Rental
Located on the second floor of The Rec Center, the Banquet Room overlooks the Aquatic Park and Wolfe Park. The room is available for wedding receptions, birthday parties, bar and bat mitzvah parties, company events, family reunions and large meetings. The room comfortably seats 160 people and offers a caterer's holding kitchen, dance floor, "dimmable" lighting and sound system. Audio-visual equipment can be rented for an additional fee.

Sunday through Friday fees: $45 per hour (resident) / $55 per hour (non resident) (2-hour minimum)
Saturday (8 a.m. to midnight): $450 (resident) / $550 (non-resident)
$500 damage deposit
Total fee depends on duration of rental and amenities

Gallery Room Rental
Located on the first floor of The Rec Center, the gallery can accommodate 35 to 70 people for small group gatherings, team meetings and birthday parties. Audio-visual equipment can be rented for an additional fee.

$35 per hour (resident) / $45 per hour (non-resident) (2-hour minimum)
$100 damage deposit
Total fee depends on duration of rental and amenities

Indoor Ice Skating Party
During open public skating sessions, the adjacent gallery room can be rented for private parties.

Two hour room rental: $45 (resident rate) / $55 (non-resident rate) plus
Skating admission: $3.50 per youth and $4 per adult

Indoor Ice Rink Rental
The indoor ice arena at The Rec Center can be rented for private parties. The gallery will be provided for one hour without an additional charge.

$150 per hour

Outdoor Aquatic Park Gazebo Party
Groups up to 24 people may reserve the gazebo, near the pool, for an event. In addition to the gazebo rental fee, daily admission (discounted $1 per person) or a season pass is required.

Time choices: 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., 2 - 4:30 p.m., or 5 p.m. to closing

Outdoor Aquatic Park Private Rental
The aquatic park can be rented for private after-hours use for company gatherings, special events, athletic teams, scout groups and birthday parties.

June 4 through August 29
Monday through Friday: 8:30 to 10 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 7:30 to 10 p.m.
$325 per hour for entire pool

Rec Center Directions & Hours

Office hours: Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, 12 - 6 p.m.
The Rec Center may host events or private parties outside of these hours; however, the front desk is not staffed outside of regular office hours.

Holidays -

The Rec Center is open on Independence Day and Labor Day.
If no organized activities have been scheduled, the Rec Center may be closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day weekend, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. On these holidays, it's best to call ahead.
