Our green remodeling program helps residents remodel green by providing technical and financial assistance.  We use Minnesota GreenStar*, a green building standard and certification program that promotes healthy, high performance homes.

Rebates
The city matches 50% of the utility rebates for energy efficient furnaces, water heaters and air conditioners.  Simply mail a copy of the utility rebate you received to:  City of St. Louis Park, Community Development Department, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd., St. Louis Park, MN  55416.  A city rebate check will be mailed.

Discount Loans (rates subject to change)
Reduced interest rate loans for "certified" green remodeling projects

  • 3% APR fixed simple interest rate, if your household income is below $67,120
  • 4% APR fixed simple interest rate, if your household income is between $67,120-$96,500*
  • For households with incomes greater than $96,500 discount interest rates are available.
