Outdoor skate park temporarily moved to Nelson Park; more info to come on new permanent location
The skate park located on the west side of The Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Drive, has been temporarily moved for the 2016 season to Nelson Park, 2500 Georgia Ave. S. and is available for use. The relocation is necessary due to construction of the new outdoor recreation facility
at the skate park location. The skate park will continue to be a parks and recreation amenity in the future. In May of 2016, recreation staff met with outdoor skate park users to consider two new locations for the outdoor skate park, at either Carpenter Park (near St. Louis Park City Hall) or the corner of Beltline Boulevard and 36th Street (across from The Rec Center). A decision has not yet been made on the future location. Questions? Contact Jason West, Recreation Superintendent, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952.924.2554.
