2008 Residential Survey Results
A solid 97 percent of St. Louis Park residents rate the quality of life in the city as either "excellent" or "good," according to the most recently released Decision Resources residential survey. The study was conducted in October and November 2008 through a telephone survey of 400 randomly selected city residents. The survey illustrated the sense of pride St. Louis Park residents hold in their community, neighborhoods, and schools.
Here are some highlights from the survey:

96% of residents feel safe living in St. Louis Park; up 3% from the 2005 survey.

89% of residents feel that they have a say in decisions happening in the Park; up 5% from 2005.

94% of residents find St. Louis Park a great place to raise children.

92% of residents believe that the city is on track with resident’s environmental concerns; up 14% from the 2005 residential survey.

84% of St. Louis Park residents feel that city services are on par or better than neighboring communities.

92% of residents believe that it is important to have a strong arts and cultural presence.

89% of residents feel that they have a say in decisions happening in the Park; up 5% from 2005.

93% of residents find the current recreational facilities meet their needs throughout the Park.

92% of residents believe that housing appearances have improved in the last year—up 20% from the last residential survey in 2005.

98% of residents have a sense of pride in their neighborhood
