Volunteer Opportunities at Westwood

If you have other interests, ideas, or special skills that you would like to share with us, please let us know. We will work together to develop a project that is meaningful and mutually beneficial. School Group Hike Assistant
Nature lovers can assist the naturalists as they conduct educational programs for elementary-aged students. Share the joy of nature with children and spend time at the Nature Center. Training is provided. The time commitment requested is 2 1/2 hours a week in the morning or afternoon on the day of your choice plus occasional training sessions for specific programs.
Westwood Junior Naturalist
Youth in grades 7 to 12 can assist with summer camp, help with special projects and take care of the animals. Training and incentives are included.

Westwood Maintenance
This is the perfect job for someone who enjoys fixing, building and generally taking care of things. The job duties will vary by season and may include construction of educational materials and Halloween party props, maintaining bird feeders, planting trees and flowers, eliminating non-native species, watering, etc. The time commitment, the day of the week and time of day are flexible.
