About Volunteering

updated: Tuesday, August 12, 2014
By volunteering for the city of St. Louis Park, not only will you have a direct impact on the community, but you will also have access to the benefits that our volunteers gain from donating their time and talents. Here are a few reasons our volunteers feel rewarded:

  • Meet people who share your interests
  • Gain skills and experience for employment opportunities
  • Explore new career areas & practice a new skill
  • Earn school credit
  • Set a positive example for others

Current city volunteer opportunities are posted below. Additionally, there are occasional volunteer opportunities available to St. Louis Park residents administered by an outside entity, such as the county, a nonprofit organization, or the local school district. Please click here to see a list of those opportunities.

How to volunteer:
To apply for a City of St. Louis Park volunteer opportunity, fill out this application form. The volunteer office will then contact you about next steps. To volunteer for a position outside of the City of St. Louis Park, please reach out to the contact person listed in the description.

For more information, or if you would like to learn about volunteering in a specific area, please email the city's volunteer coordinator Laura Smith at lsmith@stlouispark.org, or call (952) 928-2847.

(Please note: If you will be working with children, a background check will be required.)
