Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

Train arrives at 6 p.m.

  • Introduction: The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train returns to St. Louis Park Dec. 11, 2019, at 6 p.m.

The forecast for the train’s arrival is COLD. Pre-train festivities have been delayed to a start time of 4:45 p.m.; the train arrives at 6 p.m. Plan ahead and make safe choices and preparations to keep warm, especially if you have children or vulnerable adults in your party.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train returns to St. Louis Park Dec. 11, 2019, stopping south of Lake Street.

The holiday train’s estimated arrival is 6 p.m. The concert from the train will take place from 6:15 - 6:45 p.m. and features Meghan Patrick, Tanika Charles and Kelly Prescott. The concert will only be viewable from the west side of the tracks. Once the train pulls in, it will not be possible to cross to the other side of the tracks.

Arrive onsite ahead of the train to enjoy warm food and beverages, listen to holiday music, drop off your food shelf donation and grab a good spot. People are welcome to start gathering at 4:45 p.m. (changed due to cold temperatures from the previous start time of 4 p.m) Find out where to park with this map.

The event is free, but attendees are asked to bring food or financial donations for the local food shelf–St. Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP).

The mission of the Holiday Train is to address food insecurity in the communities it stops. Further details will be posted leading up to the event.
