National Night Out is Tuesday, August 1
St. Louis Park celebrates its 34th annual National Night Out Tuesday, August 1, 2017, 6-9 p.m. In 2016, St. Louis Park police officers and other city staff attended more than 150 neighborhood gatherings to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships, and send the message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
By registering your neighborhood's block party, you can request to have an officer stop by your party to answer questions and visit with neighbors. Other city departments, including the fire department and public works, will also be out attending parties. This is a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to catch a view from the front seat of squad car or fire truck and to meet city staff.
Neighborhood party registration forms are due by Friday, July 21. Registration forms are included in the Planning and Information Kit. For more information contact the Community Outreach Officer at the St. Louis Park Police Department at 952.924.2600.
