Charter commission discusses ranked-choice voting
In January 2018, the St. Louis Park Charter Commission outlined a plan for public process prior to making a recommendation to the city council regarding ranked-choice voting (RCV).
- Feb. 13, 6 p.m. — The commission will host an expert question and answer panel to answer questions from charter commission members. This session will be recorded and available to watch on-demand via city cable channels, YouTube or the city website – visit the ranked-choice voting webpage for ways to view.
- March 6, 6 p.m. — The public is invited to provide input to the charter commission at a listening session in the city council chambers, 3rd floor, St. Louis Park City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd. This session will be televised live and recorded. Visit the ranked-choice voting webpage for ways to watch live and on-demand.
- March 13, 5:30 p.m. — The charter commission will meet to vote on a formal recommendation to the St. Louis Park City Council regarding ranked-choice voting. While this meeting is open to the public, no public comment will be taken by the commission. The meeting will take place at St. Louis Park City Hall, 5005 Minnetonka Blvd. As is standard practice, regular meetings of the charter commission are not televised live or recorded. Minutes of the meeting will be available.
