Housing authority poster contest regional finalist
A poster contest is held each year for children residing in affordable housing and community developments owned or administered by member agencies of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). In January, the St. Louis Park Housing Authority hosted an event for families participating in the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs to create entries for the poster contest. The entries were to reflect the national theme “What Home Means to Me.” In February, city staff selected one entry from the four finalists to submit to the Minnesota Chapter of NAHRO for consideration.
The St. Louis Park submission was selected as one of three in the state to advance to the regional competition. Regional honorees will be submitted to the National NAHRO for consideration by early August 2019.
The national honorees will be announced during Housing America Month in October 2019.
