Background
The 2017 Pavement Management and Connect the Park Project includes the reconstruction of streets in the Sorensen neighborhood and Utica Avenue in the Birchwood neighborhood. This project includes a number of new sidewalk segments.

To see a map of all the proposed improvements, see the map titled “2017 Pavement Management Map” in the Public Hearing documents under “Resources”.

The City Council held a public hearing on February 6, 2017 to approve and authorize the project to be advertised for bid. At the public hearing the council approved and removed segments of sidewalk from the project. See the map below titled “Approved and Removed Sidewalk Segments” in the Public Hearing documents under “Resources”.

These improvements are proposed to be paid for using city funds; there are no proposed assessments to property owners for this project.
