Natural Resources

updated: Tuesday, January 10, 2017

Natural Resources, a division of the Operations & Recreation Department, manages St. Louis Park’s natural resources. We work to protect, restore and enhance our varied natural areas and resources, including a diverse urban tree population, a wide array of wildlife, 28 water bodies and Westwood Hills Nature Center. Stewardship of these resources is vital and important to all of us, providing the directive and purpose for our Natural Resources.

The Natural Resources Division is responsible for:

  1. Urban Forestry Programs
  2. Education and Outreach
  3. Landscaping and Restoration
  4. Invasive Species Management
  5. Weed Ordinance Enforcement
  6. Wildlife Management
  7. Natural Resource Development Review and Guidance
