The Excelsior Group and Ryan Companies received city council approval to construct an 11-story, 335,710-square-foot Class A office building within the West End area. The development is Phase IV of the Central Park West planned unit development, and is located on the border of St. Louis Park and Golden Valley. The office tower will be located in St. Louis Park, and the 1,214 stall parking structure will be located in Golden Valley.
Key features include approximately 5,000 square feet of shared outdoor amenity space, 3,500 square feet of retail space on the ground level, a fitness facility, public locker rooms and an indoor bike room with access to and from the linear park space. The design of the building incorporates mostly brick and glass, and provides a modern take on the durability of a brick warehouse building.
- Sept. 6, 2016 — The second reading was approved by St. Louis Park City Council.
- Aug. 15, 2016 — City council approved the first reading of the PUD ordinance and plat resolution.
- July 20, 2016 — The St. Louis Park Planning Commission held a public hearing and recommended approval of the application.
- May 11, 2016 — A joint neighborhood meeting with St. Louis Park and Golden Valley residents regarding the proposal was held.
