St. Louis Park issues individual dewatering permits, in conjunction with the erosion and sediment control permit, for any dewatering of groundwater or surface water from construction projects in the city. The permit only applies to projects that plan to pump groundwater or surface water, temporarily or permanently, from their project. Dewatering is a common practice during and after the construction process, but can also have significant effects on the environment and public safety if not planned and implemented properly.

If your project requires a dewatering permit, please complete the dewatering permit application package

The permit fee is $250.
