Adaptive Recreation

The adaptive recreation program is a cooperative effort of REACH for Resources and the cities of Chanhassen, Chaska, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Waconia and St. Louis Park. REACH is a nonprofit that serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Hennepin County. 

A wide variety of adaptive programs and events are offered, including sports, social activities, dances and weekend getaways. The programs are designed to:

  • Encourage physical fitness
  • Build social and team-building skills
  • Help individuals gain confidence
  • Provide breaks for caregivers
