Skating

The skating times below are reserved for general public skating - no hockey sticks, pucks, equipment or goals are allowed.

Skating is available for all ages. No registration is required.

Indoor skating

Indoor public skating is available at The Rec Center.

April 1 –  June 9 Days and times
Monday, Wednesday, Friday Noon  1:30 p.m. ( No skating May 27)
Saturday

10:15  11:45 a.m. (No skating May 25)

Sunday 2:15  3:45 p.m. (No skating May 26)
June 15 –  Aug. 25 dates and times
Saturday 10:15  11:45 a.m. (No skating Aug. 17 and 24)
Sunday 2:15  3:45 p.m. (No skating Aug. 18)
Hockey
Adult Open Hockey

Adult open hockey is available at The Rec Center.

April 2 June 6 days and times
Tuesday, Thursday Noon  1:30 p.m.
  • Fee: $5 per person/$45 for 10-pass punch card

Rec Center Skate Shop

The skate shop is located in The Rec Center next to the gallery in between the west and east arenas. The shop features rental skates, skate sharpening and a small pro shop.

The shop is open Saturdays 10 a.m  noon and Sundays 2  4 p.m. Skate rental and sharpening services are available by request outside of these hours. You can drop off skates and they will be sharpened within 48 hours.

Skate rentals are $3 and skate sharpening is $5 per pair.

Skating lessons 

St. Louis Park Skate School offers the Ice Skating Institute (I.S.I.) weSKATE program for ages four and up. Each class presents a progression of specific skills that build upon one another. View a list of current ice skating and hockey lessons.
