38th Annual Halloween Party
Oct. 18 and 19, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
The Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Drive
This year the Westwood Halloween Party is joining the Little Goblin Bash at The Rec Center. Wear your costumes
and enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Boo-gie down to some tunes with DJ Bob. Play carnival style games.
Trick-or-treat with friendly animal characters on Mother Nature’s Trail. Round off the evening with a puppet show and
refreshments supplied by Lunds & Byerlys! PRE-REGISTRTION IS REQUIRED.
*ALL ON-LINE REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER OCTOBER 9 MUST PICK UP TICKETS AT 6:30 P.M. AT THE REC CENTER ON THE EVENING OF THE PARTY.
Fees: $11 per person (resident) / $12 (non-resident)
*Households of four or more will receive a 20 percent discount for the fourth person and each person thereafter.
We will be collecting food donations for STEP each night of the party.
Family programs are for all ages, unless noted otherwise. Children ages two and over must pay and be accompanied by a paid adult unless otherwise stated.

Puppet Story Time
Laugh out loud as the Westwood puppets tell a story in their animated comical style. Puppet Story Time is all ages; those 2 and over must pay and be accompanied by a paid adult.

Tuesday Turtles Preschool
The Tuesday Turtles Preschool program will explore and discover the world outside while on naturalist-led hikes. We'll listen to nature stories, create crafts, play games and laugh with our famous puppets.
- Tuesday Turtles Preschool – October (4 dates, class does not meet Oct. 15)
- Tuesday Turtles Preschool – November (4 dates)
Home school programs
Westwood Hills Nature Center is a great resource for home school science learning activities! We can customize our recreation and natural history programs to fit a variety of ages and learning needs. Call 952.924.2544 for more information about scheduling a visit for a small group or home school cooperative.
Home school programs are for ages 5 - 12; child(ren) must be accompanied by an adult. No charge for supervising adult.
Fall program topics could include:
- Animals inside and out
- Animal tracks and signs
- Apple cider
- Fire building
- Honey bees
- Trees and leaves
Adult programs are for those ages 18 and over. There are no Adult Only programs at this time. Keep watch for the winter brochure to be released the week of November 4.
