St. Louis Park, MN 55416

*located on The Rec Center campus

The ROC (Recreation Outdoor Center) is a multi-use outdoor recreational facility located on the campus of The Rec Center. It was completed in 2017 with financial assistance from the St. Louis Park Hockey Association and a Hennepin County Youth Sports Grant.

This facility is used as a covered ice rink in the winter months for hockey, open public skating, broomball and other special skating events. In the spring, it can be converted to a covered, turfed field for baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse, as well as special events such as the annual spring egg hunt. During the summer, a dry, concrete floor provides space for the Children First Ice Cream Social and a variety of other special events from weddings to movies in the park, to graduation parties.

Upcoming Public Events at the ROC

Minnesota Wild Practice Skate
The NHL's Minnesota Wild will host a free, open-to-the-public outdoor practice, presented by Twin Cities Audi Dealers, on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Recreation Outdoor Center (ROC) at the City of St. Louis Park Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Drive, St. Louis Park.

"Many thanks to the Minnesota Wild for choosing St. Louis Park as the site for their public practice," said St. Louis Park Mayor Jake Spano. "It’s not often that our residents get a chance to see a professional sports team up close and personal. I’m confident that the ROC will provide a unique and welcoming venue for the Wild players and coaches, and we look forward to welcoming them on February 11! Go Wild!"

The Wild's practice is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as space is limited. Caribou Coffee, the official coffee of the Minnesota Wild, will provide free coffee to event spectators.

Parking will be available in the Rec Center parking lot, the ParkNicollet Melrose Center parking lot (3525 Monterey Drive) and at The Shops at Excelsior and Grand, 3820 Grand Way, St. Louis Park.
